Can you be a bit more specific. Did you change the router? Did you change anything on your SME?

I stupidly reset the router before checking how it had been setup in the previous office.  I know its not that complicated, just never wrote it down, now all of a sudden there are 6 members of staff who need to access email and the internet and I feel a bit under pressure.

What is the local IP of your router?
It should be: 192.168.154.2

And probably due your reset it isn't anymore...

So if I change the local ip of the router to match the gateway IP of the sme server will that work?

And probably you also have to setup your portforwarding again...

But I have to go now.

Good luck!

Thanks a million, I knew it was something simple,  I have things almost back to normal.

All the machines on my network can now access the internet.  I am also running a email and web server,  I have a static IP which I have pointed towards my domain name, but I don't ever remember setting up port fowarding before.  what about DMZ?  That rings a bell

Did uou have a DMZ before? ie was there a server connected to a third NIC on the SME box?
If not, you did not have a DMZ and you can forget about it.

If you did have a server connected to a third NIC, then you had a DMZ and as long as you connect everything up again AND HAVE MADE NO CHANGES TO EITHER THE SME OR THE DMZ SERVER then it should all just work again.

If you did make changes (eg as you were trying to get the system to work before) then RTFM about how to set up a DMZ ..... it is relatively simple.

Cheers
Ian

DMZ will make your server open an all ports which is fine if you have it runing in server/gateway mode just don't use DMZ on server if it's in server only mode.
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!
