Topic: Sun Fire Servers - any opinions

Hello All,

I am consulting on an SME install (it seems that I've done hundreds!!) and they prefer Sun equipment. Has anyone had any experience with SME on a Sun Fire box? Any opinions? For the degree of service they are expecting from the box, it looks like a bit of overkill (very small load, very low volume app). They sure are pretty though...

Have not tried it myself, but this might be a good candidate to try Suns 60 day free trial on the Sun Fire x2100 m2 server.
If it works, buy it.  If it doesn't, send it back.
It looks to be certified on RHEL 4, so I would think it would be SME Server compatible.
