Topic: adding a new network card

hello
i have a sme server 7.1 configured as  server only. I want to create a kind a "warm" backup in another machine with rsync connected to the main server through a second  network card with a crossed ethernet cable. How can i configure the second network with the configuration tools of smeserver.

I would suggest to power down the machine. Plug in the NIC.

Start the machine. Wait till all processes are active and login as admin (not root) and use the admin console to (re)configure the server.

thanks for the reply but in the configuration as server only i can't see any way to set up a second network card. Anyway through an
 ifconfig eth1 192.168.100.1 netmask 255,255.255.0
i can set up the second interface so now the question is:
if i put the folliwing command in the rc.local will it be deleted by a reconfiguration?

i just inserted the ifconfig command in the rc.local file which isn't rebuld aftera a reconfigure command
