Vpn error problem
« on: May 14, 2007, 08:18:53 PM »
In the past we have been able to connect via vpn now we are getting error 619 on the windows computer when trying to dial an sme server. We are going through one to another like this.
Going from VVVV here to ------------------here VVV
windows 2003 server | 1 sme (7) +++++ 2 smi (6) | windows 2003 server

The 2 Sme server appear to be accepting other remote connections but does ot accpet any VPN connections from 1 Sme.

I have looked at messages log and hopfully deduced the message that is causing the 1 sme from connecting to the 2 sme it is as follows.

May 14 13:42:22 mail pppd[23179]: pppd 2.4.2b1 started by root, uid 0
May 14 13:42:22 mail pppd[23179]: Starting negotiation on /dev/pts/2
(below Line is the failure I think,  but I dont know what it means)
May 14 13:42:22 mail pptpd[23178]: GRE: read(fd=6,buffer=80559a0,len=8260) from network failed: status = -1 error = Protocol not available

May 14 13:42:39 mail pptpd[437]: CTRL: Received PPTP Control Message (type: 5)

May 14 13:42:39 mail pptpd[437]: CTRL: I wrote 20 bytes to the client.
May 14 13:42:39 mail pptpd[437]: CTRL: Sent packet to client

Anyone got any clues.

Thanks.
