Downloading SME sources, rebuild and make a new iso
« on: June 08, 2007, 11:58:11 AM »
Hi,

I don't find:
 * how to download branch and head source for SME on smeserver.cvs.sourceforge.net
 * how to build these sources
 * how to make an iso with this build

I'd like to explore hardwares others than Intel or AMD. Thanks by advance.

What hardware are you looking to support?

If there are builds of RHEL4 for these arch then it shouldn't be too difficult.  If it is based on other distributions then it will be a lot more work then just building sme packages.

I own some sparc64 kit.  If you can point me at sparc distro I may be able to look at what it would take to build.

I just want to find an "how-to" for downloading sources, building and making ISO. We'll look what this gives on other machines. I'd like to make it also for x64.

Thanks by advance
