Logon failure
« on: May 11, 2008, 05:42:39 PM »
Hi

I'm running a small network with some XP and a few Ubuntu clients. Using SME 7.3 in "Server-only" mode. Just a simple network - no domainservers.

I don't use to have any problems connecting and accessing files on the sever. But to day i suddenly didn't have access to my own user-directory. My access to different ibays was still working fine.

I tried to lock and unlock my account in the servermanager, just to see if that would have an affect. After that I didn't have any file access at all! Webmail and access using http og pop working fine, but I had no access to my user-directory and ibays.

Trying i get "Logon failure: account currently disabled."

Samba log:
[2008/05/11 17:21:01, 1] auth/auth_sam.c:sam_account_ok(142)
sam_account_ok: Account for user 'claus' was disabled.

Problem the same on other clients using that name. Other usernames working fine on all clients. So it must be a server problem...

Looks like Samba is still locked or disabled for that user.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Claus

Please report issues to the bugtracker, they are more likely to be followed up by the devs there. Please be sure to tell your server history and current version and if possible the last actions you have done on the server, like updates or configuration changes perhaps when reporting the bug.

OK - I will.

But is it a bug, or just me not doing the right thing?

I do not know as you just stated that the problem was there, out of the blue, as you stated in your first post, if you did take actions before the issue was there please specify that in the bugreport as well.

Please post a reference to the bug in this thread for future reference as well.
