Effect on Egroupware and Cyrus by upgrading SME 7.0 to 7.1
« on: June 13, 2007, 10:25:36 PM »
Hi folks:

Has anyone upgraded SME 7.0 to 7.1 with Egroupware and Cyrus installed?  I was wondering if these contribs worked correctly with 7.1, and if they do, do I have to uninstall and re-install/reconfigure them as part of the upgrade?  I tried an initial upgrade, but the network connectivity broke, so I reverted to the snapshot backup (SME server is running in a VM) and didn't play with it again for a while.  I have subsequently read that doing the upgrade under a VM will break network connectivity until you re-install the vmware tools, so now that I know how to fix that I'm going to look into this again.  If I can upgrade and not have to mess with these packages I'll probably go ahead and try it again.  On the other hand, if I have to start from scratch with these contribs, then I think I'll leave things alone until I have more time, as I'm not experiencing any significant problems with 7.0 right now, and from what I remember about the original install of Egroupware and Cyrus, it took a number of hours to get things working.
