Topic: Urgent FTP error

Hi

I have an urgent problem with ftp.

I get the following error in the messages log:
Aug  9 11:34:30 esmith proftpd[4697]: IPv6 getaddrinfo 'esmith.domain' error: Name or service not known
Aug  9 11:34:30 esmith proftpd[4697]: esmith.domain - fatal: Transport endpoint is not connected

I had a look on the proftpd site and it is a kln own issue that is fixed in 1.3.1rc1, but how can i fix this on my server? only like this since the 7.2 upgrade

Side affects are i am unable to use ftp at all

well it wont even start

Trying to start it manually gives the same error and i see the same error in the log when rebooting

This issue doesn't have a bug, so could you please open a report and post your full server history with any additional contribs or custom templates you may have installed. Thanks.

I see the same error in the logs but here ftp is working fine.
Maybe its not related.
