Topic: Backup to USB for upgrade

Hi

I have a 6.0.1 server that needs upgrading badly to 7.2 but I want to make sure i have the data backed up successfully before I attempt the upgrade process...

Can anyone give guidance on how best to do this to a USB hard drive? I see there are some contribs but for version 7.

Are there any reccomendations for upgrade versus fresh install and replacng data?
