Supported Nics
« on: October 03, 2007, 02:36:38 AM »
Gigabyte have started using Realtek 8111 chips on their Mainboards which are not supported in the Kernel.  How can I find out which Nics are supported, and can someone recommend a Gigabit NIC that goes for them?

Cheers  Rob

Have a look here (we are based centos 4.5 which is based on rhel 4.x )

https://hardware.redhat.com/

I've generally gone for the intel pro10/100/1000 which are very stable in my box.

I'm using Netgear GA302T - a pci Gigabit NIC in SME 7.2
