outgoing mail from mail client in sent ithems webmail
« on: August 17, 2007, 06:16:29 PM »
Dear all,

I like to configure a client that can access webmail but also with outlook express.
I like to configure outlook express that it will leave the messages on the server.

For so far, it's fine.

Now the outgoing mails from outlook express i like to make them available in the send items of the webmail.

Is that possible?

Kind regards,

Hendrik

I use Firebird and works well, I can't say about OE as I never use it.
You can use IMAP as the protocol of choice and configure the client to keep the sent messages (There's even an option to pick the folder,etc.).

Realy great.
It works.

Another question.
is it possible to sync the address book of OE with the Imap one?

As long as you are using OE as an IMAP client it should be possible.  You will need to create a custom-template for imp's prefs.php to change the value  of the sent mail folder.  Have a look at /etc/e-smith/templates//home/httpd/html/horde/imp/config/prefs.php/135sent_mail_folder as an example.
