Has anyone been able to use Mysql-front client for Mysql successfully. I am unable to login to the sme 512 mysql  using win 98,w2k, xp and give me connection denied error 1045.

Yes, I use it daily. Did you ever use MySQL on that server before? If not, have a look at the following thread:
