Not too sure about this, but if your hard drives are fairly similar, can't you power down the old server, take out the hard drive(s), and install the minimal required (1 for single/dual drive raid 1, n-1 for n drive raid 5/6), add a new hard drive, and start resyncing the new drive. You could repeat this for each new drive.

Of course you would need to be able to to raid the old+new drives....

I'm glad to report that my new server was installed, all data and settings copied transfered with the AFFA method...  It worked brilliantly, the guys have done an excellent job on that piece of software right there...

One thing I would really suggest though is to read the damn instructions and do it with putty from the local network, as I tried at first downloading AFFA sitting in front of the new server and got nowhere for my troubles...

Another thing that should be pointed out, is that once you are done, Cron Manager will start emailing you in the daily emails about the GPG key not being valid for spamassassin...  This however is easily rectified with the command given in the email, and it takes all of 2 minutes...


If you're going to be doing a move to a new server, go for the AFFA method and get it done the easiest way possible!
