FlexBackup - compression
« on: August 23, 2007, 11:42:45 AM »
Hi,

Running SME7.2.  My old Sony tape drive has a limit of around 12 Gigs.  HDD is now 15 Gigs.  I might get another year or so out of it if I can increase Flexbackup's compression ratio. I believe that the default is 4 with a possible max of 9.

I had a look at the flexbackup.conf file but it seems that it cannot be edited directly.

Can the setting be changed? If so, how?

I'm not an experienced user and get distinctly nervous when logged in as Root!

Thanks in advance.

S~

You need to read up on making custom template fragments. Its actually not too bad.
