Backup to USB disk using server console
« on: September 20, 2007, 06:48:35 PM »
I have no succes trying to backup to my USB diskdrive, using the standard utility in 7.2. The backup process seems being executed, but no data written to the disk?

I use this diskdrive on my windoze PCs as well. Can I use a USB disk drive NFTS formatted or has the drive to be EXT3 formatted?
Searching through the forums brings no clarification on this.

Sorry I don't have access to my logmessages at this moment  :-?
Regards Jan

Can I use a USB disk drive NFTS formatted ...

No.

Quote
or has the drive to be EXT3 formatted?

FAT32 should also work.

I'd personally recommend using EXT3 formatted.
