Topic: POP3 / POP3s failed

Hello,
  We tried to connect to SME server 7.2 using outlook / outlook express with POP3 / POP3s protocol.  All failed. 
  Internally, we can ping the server but if we launch the outlook express,  it failed.
  One thing that is funny. When we test within office, I put the pop address like 'mail', we can receive mail but if we put 'mail.xxx.com' it failed.  Why this happened??  and how to solve it so that we can recive from outside?

Check your pop3 settings at server-manager::Configuration::E-mail::Change e-mail access settings

As for 'mail' vs. 'mail.xxx.com' - this could be almost anything.

I setup my clients to use the publicly locatable dns name for my server so that I can use the same hostname from inside or outside the network.
