I have been searching through the documentation and I just can't get my head around this one. I'm trying to understand what domains I need to set up.
I have an Internet domain registered: xxx.co.uk. I will be using Zoneedit to send web requests for this domain and sub-domains to SME Server 5.1.2 via my Telewest Blueyonder cable modem. I can certainly bring up the default website from another location via the Internet just using the cable modem IP address - very impresive seeing that working...
However, does this mean that all the machines on my local network (which connect to the Internet via SME Server's proxy service) ALSO have to be members of the xxx.co.uk domain? Can all my local machines be members of a local domain, say yyy, that is not Internet registered? Does SME Server effectively become a member of both the local and the Internet-registered domains?
I am sure it is all very simple, but so am I - so I need it explained very simply

In addition, assuming Zoneedit is set up with wildcards to send traffic to my domain: *.xxx.co.uk, then would an ibay simply become a website accessible from that domain: e.g. would
http://ibay1.xxx.co.uk/ give me the website I have set up in ibay1.
Thanks,
- Jason
