Please help the newbie

Have installed sms server 5.1.2 working great, connection to ISP[dail up connection] works and tested. Shared the internet to my other computers in the office, ibays up and running.Setup muilt-drop - imaps to my outlookexpress's.
Can send to my isp's smtp [mail out from imaps] and imap folders all work.
user accounts work and Can send emails to local addresses from local addresses

Problem
Can not get muilt-drop to download my mail from my webhosting pop server.
I have read the user guide and three things have come to bug me.

first- my isp uses auto asign dns connection, but gives out a pri dns[ip address] and sec dns [ip address]. Where does this go in config and is there proxy setting required???
The ISP said that I don't require proxy setting, linux support from them very little.
If my internet and smtp email out is work, should not my webhosting pop account work with out any other changes to the isp connection. [webhosting is different toisp account.
second- Virtual domains required to recieve email from my webhosting pop server.
I have set up a vitual domains [  #$%^&.com.au ] with the [ mail.#$%^&.com.au ]set it as remote with the mail ip address is this the right thing to do?????

third- hostnames and address name are #$%^&.local and point to the ip address of the sme server, can they just be self and still work with imaps.

The sme server is working great and all my office mates are happy that the microsoft bad man has gone away. But not beening able to read from the pop account is causing me grief.

Have not loaded any programs or blades on the sme server is this a problem.

Have checked pop account details and address in the server-manage are right.[email retrieval] Have read the user guide and tried to find any 'how to's' on muilt-drop.please help with questions or point to 'how to's'.

thanks

Fetchmail is a simple program that just goes to a pop mail server, logs on with the details you give it and forwards it to your internal mail address (well any address I guess).

I use it to return all of the kids mail from Optus@Home into their local mail accounts. I originally installed the version from vincent ?? that can now be found at

Hope this helps

Try pinging the mailserver from which you wish to download the mail and then plug that IP address into your "Secondary mailserver" under Email Retrieval Settings in the Server Manager.
