Topic: LCD monitor - DPMS settings

I have recently replaced an old CRT, now deceased, with a second-hand Dell 1503 LCD, using the analog interface. I have this connected via a KVM switch and noticed that when connected to a Windows box, the screen powers down after the 15 minute time-out, but when connected to my SME servers, it blanks, but retains power, so that when I switch off the office light, I can see a glow, presumably from the backlight. The CRT would correctly power down (it was also connected via the KVM switch).

Is there a way of adjusting the settings so that the monitor goes into sleep mode?
