The bwshare module will refuse your requests for the next 70 seconds.
You have made too many requests per second.

I only appear to get it late PM (UK).  I am not making an unusial amount of requests on the server and I am the only active PC from my IP address (outside of the SMEserver itself!!)

bins,

(It would be nice to know which "site" you are actually trying to access..)

Here's some info...
Quote
The Apache module mod_bwshare throttles HTTP requests to Apache 1 and 2 servers for each client IP address independently.
The mod_bwshare module accepts or rejects HTTP requests from each client IP address based on past downloads by that client IP address.
If the HTTP client's download rate exceeds specified levels, the reponse to the HTTP client is an HTML warning message.
A human browser will see a warning message indicating how long to wait.

Automatic rampant downloaders will download large numbers of useless warning messages.

Let me make a (n experienced) guess:
You are using Firefox and have an extension like Faster Fox (or any other prefetching "goodie" installed  :-(

Now you know ... webmasters don't like it

nev'r mind ... enjoy ,,, I've never had such a problem on contribs.org

The bwshare module is a bandwith limitation tool. You probably are above the set treshold as there are limitations in effect. Are you perhaps updating your server at the same time?

Hi all

I used to have the same problem in the last couple of weeks when accessing the contribs forum (both at home and at work, during the day and late in the evening). I usually right click on a post and open it in an new window/tab. After I opened about 5 or more posts I hit the same bwshare module. I use IE7.

The last few days I haven't had any problems but maybe that's because I've logged myself "permanently" in on the forum. Before that, I browsed the forum as a guest and only logged in if I wanted to reply to a message.

Maybe you can try to do the same. If the problem persists and other people experience the same problem, you should post it in the bug tracker.

Edit: Aarrgh!!! Just after posting this reply I hit the bwshare module again:
