Error Forward mail in Webmail
« on: January 21, 2008, 10:30:28 AM »
Hello

We have a SME 7.3 with all updates as of 21-jan-2008.

We use IMAP with Outlook 2002.

We have a problem with forwarding mail in webmail. If we add text, the new text in the forwarded mail is missing in Outlook.
If we look at the mail in webmail, the text is there.

I have tried this in Outlook 2002, 2003 and 2007.

I think this error came with the update to 7.3

Can someone try this and confirm the error, or solve the problem?

Kind Regards

To recreate the error:

Create a mail i Outlook in HTML-format and post to yourself
Forward this mail in Webmail to yourself and add some text at the top
Read this mail in Outlook (IMAP)

Outlook (IMAP): The added text is missing
Webmail: The added text is there

I believe the key is HTML
If you create the first mail in Outlook in plain text, there is no error

What happens after a bug is reported?
How long time can I expect before the potential bug is checked?

Kind regards

What happens after a bug is reported?

We review and prioritize.

Because we are a small dev team (2-4) we will check based again on importance, the bug will get checked don't worry, what also will help the case is if your/anyones bug report is detailed and if possible a replication description.

Thanks for you patentice.

I have installed a new 7.3 in VMware, with the same result.

This isn't an error with either horde or sme.  Outlook, if it finds an html part, gives preference to this type of message.  If you look at the source of the message you will see that it does indeed include your added text.

Is there any reason that Horde doesn't use HTML format which Outlook will display? Followup to bug tracker, please.
