Topic: Vacation message and SPAM

I have a question regarding the vacation message application for SME Server on 7.2.

If a genuine email is sent to a user that has the vacation message enabled the person who sent the message gets a message saying the user is on holiday, if the email is sent to the user that is SPAM and marked as SPAM and then sent to the junkmail folder, is this message also replied to by the vacation application, this way the spammer can verify that the email exists??

I'm rather concerned about this same issue, as I'm about to implement the vacation feature for a client who travels regularly & also gets some spam. I honestly don't want to waiste his bandwidth with spam & vacation bounces the whole time.

Does anyone, who use the vacation feature, know what happens to emails marked as SPAM when it's downloaded?
