Dear Community,
I'm a newbie for SME Server,.. but it's look a great server for my company,
and i have many question accordingly :
1. How to get information for the Hard drive, i mean in graphics ( just like on CentOS+BlueQuartz),
2. How to make additional HDD when the primary HDD was full
3. How to migrate the all system (domain, smb files, ...etc) from once HDD to another HDD with different size?
4. How to make a public file sharing, to make all group/all users can access the folder.
5. For MySQL related, i try to creat & manage the database by using HeidiSQL (FrontSQL), but i can not login as a root, also as a user ... please give me the clue ..
6. For the password, how to make the password not so strength

Hi Darmasanthi,
You have a mighty big list of questions - a bit like asking "How do you use a Windows 2003 Server?"

There is a lot of documentation, some Howtos, FAQs and addons ("Contribs", they are called in SME) which can be found at http://wiki.contribs.org/Main_Page

I suggest you get reading as soon as you can, especially the Administration manual. Many of your questions have already been answered in the forums: you should get to know the forums and especially get to know how to search them for answers.

However, you should read the manual first, because without that, the true relevance of the answers will not be evident. In other words, you have to know Step 1 before you can understand Step2 and so on.

So, in summary - start with the Administration manual and get an understanding of Ibays. Then search the forums for answers. Then, if you can't find an answer, ask questions again, but make them specific and let us know what your set up is (OS, system, network config etc)

Cheers
Ian

I do read all manual ..., i hope you read all manual also,
cause what i am asking on this forum is not answer by the manual ...

When you open on "SME Server (server_name)", there is primary folder,
how to make this folder accessing by all group / user

I can not see the information for HDD with GUI

But, the more think is how to access/login to MySQL with HeidiSQL / FrontSQL to manage the database,

When you open on "SME Server (server_name)", there is primary folder,
how to make this folder accessing by all group / user

Primary is writable only by admin and readable by everyone..

you can create your users, a group, a e-bay and then decide the permission on it

But, the more think is how to access/login to MySQL with HeidiSQL / FrontSQL to manage the database,

search LocalNetworkingOnly.. you'll find the solution

Ciao

There is a lot more than just the manuals to read:
http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:FAQ
http://wiki.contribs.org/Category:Howto
http://wiki.contribs.org/Category:Contrib

How to migrate the all system (domain, smb files, ...etc) from once HDD to another HDD with different size?

http://wiki.contribs.org/Raid
http://wiki.contribs.org/Raid#Upgrading_the_Hard_Drive_Size

Also see
http://wiki.contribs.org/Backup_server_config

Also see the normal backup/restore panel in server manager, as you can do a backup on one server with small disks, and then restore that to another server with larger disks.

How to make a public file sharing, to make all group/all users can access the folder.

Look at the ibays chapter in the manual

So please read all that information as other questions you have will probably also have already been answered.
