I have a win 98 machine connected to the net via optus cable, and a SME 4 ... with a NT 4 SBS machine behind it in the office.

Got PPTP to work lovely to the SMe machine, and can ping the NT box, but how the hell can i access the data etc, I tried having the same login with the 98 machine, but that didint seem to work either!

In the Win98 DUN entry for the VPN connection, do you have it set to logon to the network?  When I PPTP into our SME, the NT PDC behind it pops up a network logon box, just as if I were actually on the LAN.
