Let me revise that...

It isn't a "bug", it is a weird quirk in SMF.  If you do a search using the search box at the top of the page, it only searches the board that you are in.  Kinda stupid if you ask me

HI, yes I just realised the following next to the search screen....

"News: The search box to the right will only search the forum you are browsing.  Use the Search tab to search all forums"

I think someone added the above note recently, i haven't seen it before.

Perhaps it should say what your searching in under/next to the search button...
ie all forums......current forum..etc.

I still think there are some issues with the search in spite of this.
ie, if i put the word "bug" (without quotes) into the search at the top of this current page, NO results found, but I know that william_syd used that word, so its not even searching the current page.

I can live with it, so no one loose any sleep over it.
