Had a nightmare situation for the past few weeks. I had a drive collapse with about 40Gb of data on it. I've been aable to mount it for 6-7 minutes to retrieve about 40-50Mb data each time using the SME 7.4 installation CD with SME Rescue selected. This is slow to do considerimg how little time I have to extract the required data.
What I would like to do is to have Sme Rescue run form a USB flash disk.
I have tried using the 7.4 ISO image and unetbootin which produces a different initial boot screen without the sme rescue option or option to type it. Would anyone knoe the command line to run sme rescue as I could enter this as a user defined option.
