Topic: Logon probelms

Hello @all,

i got some serious problems loggin on the home dir for users. If i log on as admin, it works fine, i see my home dir and the ibays. Now i have created a user account with the name user1, changed the pw and tried to log on from win2k with the username and pw, but it doesn't work at all, from the same pc the admin login works. How can i solve this problem?

\\serverip\ibay   ??

\\serverip\user1  ??

The first should work as long as the user is a member of the ibay group. The second should also work but only if it is first login to the server after a reboot of the client workstation. (Once you are logged in you will get an access denied message instead of a login box when you try to login to a second users home directory.)

i tried both, nothing works. Also tried to logon via WXP, same problem, no matter if i restarted the client.

i am not really sure what you mean. The server and client are in the same workgroup and i dont't know how to join a domain.

OMG: The password was the problem, he didn't accept AQ!2wsDE§_. Is there a way that a normal user doesn't get the primary-iBay displayed?
