RAM useage
« on: July 15, 2010, 07:00:28 AM »
I have a new machine with 4GB RAM, SME7.4, Zarafa and VMware. It's a small business (only three users) but their specialist business package only runs on windoze (SQL2008). The VM machine needs heaps of RAM, the suppliers are now recommending Win7 (originally two months ago and still on their website it was XP with 1GB) so will need more RAM. Forgetting about the VM machine, how much does SME like with Zarafa and underlying VM host ? At the moment, VM only lets me use 2.8GB RAM - I am assuming the rest is reserved by the OS.

I suppose there's a quick command line for memory usage ?

Off topic for this forum, which concerns only software installed from the SME server CDROM.
