Topic: FTP not working on a fresh 5.1.2 Install

All the services are working well. Except for FTP.  I can't FTP into the server from outside the local network. I have FTP services set to Public and to normal settings.
I am using ws_ftp 95. and am getting this error:   "! Receive error: Blocking call cancelled ".  Im sure I  have the manager configured correctly. and I have the Firewall set to port forward port 21FTP to the server.
Also, I had the very same setup but on 4.1.3. And I had no problems connect to FTP whatsoever.

The only thing different now is I had to install another NIC into the server cause 5.1.2 wanted a seporate card for internal and exturnal communications. But I checked and I have the correct NIC for local and exturnal ips. Like I said, all other services are working correctly. I am able to connect through SSH and a VPN.

Is this a Bug that is in Mitel V. 5.1.2?
any Ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

I've noticed alot of the people that mention FTP is not working are using WS_FTP, maybe the client is the problem.  I personally use CuteFTP and have had no troubles connecting to the SME ftp or my FTP behind the firewall using port forwarding.  Try ftping from the native program built into 2K, XP or from the server console itself.

I tried the w2k ftp and it said that the connection was closed by the remote host.
So I'm sure that the FTP is refusing connections. It has to be a 5.1.2 Bug cause Its a fresh install over deleting a 4.1.2 server.  It just doesnt make sense!!!! Any other Ideas?

I am having the same problem here with a fresh install 5.1.2.

I either recieve Blockin Call cancelled from WS-FTP_95.
If I use the ftp client with Win2k or CuteFTP or any other client it will login but it takes forever (5 mins or more) to authenticate and  once authenticated every time a list command is issued or any other command is issued it takes forever (5 mins or more) for anything to happen. Sometimes it will just close the connection for no apperat reason?
As far as settings I am pretty sure I have these correct. I have checked and double checked several times. I have no problem connecting/authenticating from inside the LAN I only have trouble with WAN or external connections
