just trying to install dar2 as per wiki and getting

 yum install smeserver-dar2 --enablerepo=smecontribs

Check if your repository is actually set:

db yum_repositories show smecontribs
it should output something like:

Code: [Select]

smecontribs=repository
    BaseURL=http://mirror.contribs.org/pub/smeserver/releases/7/smecontribs/$basearch
    EnableGroups=yes
    GPGCheck=yes
    MirrorList=file:///etc/yum.repos.d/mirrors-smecontribs
    Name=SME Server - contribs
    Visible=no
    status=disabled

This is a SME 8 bug
contribs are not supported on sme 8

but remember the unsorted server-manager is just cosmetic

the last post was in error I had 2 putty windows opened and accidentally pasted from the sme 8beta one.

the initial problem stemmed from running the command
 "# yum install smeserver-dar2 --enablerepo=smecontribs "
from a sme 7.0 install, after upgrading to 7.3 the issue has been resolved.

Ok finally got dar-2 installed,stock sme 7.3 with all updates and I am attempting my first recovery I can do backups as I see them appearing in my windows share
however cant seem to do a recovery
I am entering
Date 2008.04.20 (my backup file)
Disaster Recovery [ Enabled ] Restore [ *.* ] Restore to [ / ]

click perform and I get
Operation status report
SUCCESS

this happens far to fast, the backup file is 433,590k

I then enter the server-manager Reboot or shutdown panel and Reconfigure my server

however nothing seems to be restored ?

# yum info installed smeserver-dar2 shows
