You have a lot of contribs on that machine.

I would try booting the old kernel. This may not work as some of the updated packages may depend on the new kernel but at least it will not break anything as you can always go back to booting the current kernel. This would be a temporary fix until all the contribs are updated.

Do you have your browser language set to English? I am curious if this makes the problem go away.

No, please check the bug tracker. And please report anything which doesn't work correctly via the bug tracker. Not here. You just waste my time and yours chatting about things here.

Sorry, You are correct.  Here are the steps I took to correct my panel organization.

1. Log in as root user on the SME Server shell
2. Issue the following command:

 yum update --enablerepo=smecontribs

3. After the update make sure you do

 signal-event post-upgrade
 signal-event reboot

WF168Tech,

That will work fine as long as the contribs you have installed have been updated.

Tropicalview,

It looks to me like you have at least 11 contribs installed. If everything is working and this is only cosmetic I would leave it alone for now. If it is broken you might have to figure out what you can live without and remove the contribs that have not been updated to the UTF-8 standard. I posted a question in the bug report here: http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4229
to see if there was a way to back out the update. I received a negative reply from Charlie Brady.

Please see this Thread from the German Forum
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=40771.msg189245#msg189245

Ythoss Created a small skript that changes for all affectet Files the encoding to UTF8. It only changes the affected files. The rest of the files remains untouched.

Run this Script only ONCE because you will mess everything up!.

Maybe this helps someone

 :-P

I just ran it on my english version server and it worked like a champ!

Very happy, even if I had to use Babel Fish Translation to figure out what was being written!

Ich spreche nicht Deutsches!
