Hi

Is there an issue with the contribs web site server? I've had difficulty connecting to it over the last week, it just times out. I've tried from 2 different internet connections which are through different ISPs.

For almost as long as I've been a member of this forum, I can never successfully logon on the first attempt. After entering my credentials & clicking on the appropriate button, it just goes back to the same scree. If I reenter my credentials a 2nd time, I always logon successfully, (unless I make a typo).

I've not had any difficulty connecting to the site from 3 different locations, so I can't confirm that....

This, on the other hand, mirrors my experience exactly. Very occasionally I'll get logged in on a first attempt, but 90% of the time, I have to do it twice. I've never seen that behavior elsewhere.

There has been some hardware replacement the last few days, but the login retry should not be an issue. Did you try to clear your browsers history and cache already?

Well, theh connections issue has disappeared, but the multiple, (at least 2), logon attempts issue persists. I have even tried copy & paste for my username & password, it makes no difference.

That was my experience, I may have even posted before. I just don't log off.

Still happening here as well - I can log in using any one of three machines, from several different locations, and almost always have to log in twice. I've never encountered that sort of problem with any other forum I use.

Report a bug. There have been "issues" similar to yours reported and fixed, so maybe more tweaking is needed.

Search for the bug and reopen it, if your issues are identical, otherwise create a new bug.
