Hi:
I am running smeserver 7.3 and now I can not access terminal server after update to 7.3. VPN access allows access to network but remote access to terminal server no longer works. Was working fine. Any ideas as to what is causing this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have a similar problem. I have been using SME server VPN for years and have been using windows remote desktop protocol over it to access client PC's. Since installing updates on 05/10/08 I have been having a problem. The VPN appears to connect fine and I can run puTTY and networked programs over it, but when I attempt a RDP session, I get the RDP drop down at the start but then it just hangs and eventualy times out with a " connection has been broken" error. RDP is using port 3389. Has something been changed with a recent update to affect this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have no problem here with this as far as I can see.  i am up to date 7.3+, and VPN through my own SMEserver to my clients SMEserver, then rdp to a PC on their network.  Worked for me last week

Thanks for the direction Mary. I found the issue detailed in bug 549. MTU size.
