Regarding the UTF (et. al.) errors -- help? [FIXED]
« on: May 20, 2008, 10:45:45 PM »
I just noticed that one of my SMEs has seemingly fallen victim to the errors mentioned in the sticky on the top of this forum so I set about fixing this specific server instance.

Well I seem to be getting a few errors on updating contribs and subsequently removing ones I don't think I need any longer.

So after updating then removing several contribs that I had tested and never gotten full use out of I still have a partially broken management console.

The latest error came as I tried to do a yum removal of dar2 and is as follows:

not well-formed (invalid token) at line 12, column 7, byte 300 at /usr/lib/perl5
/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/XML/Parser.pm line 187
smeserver trap post-install: smeserver-dar2

As of now, I get some of my panel working. The categories along the left side look like this:

Collaboration
Users
Groups
Quotas
Pseudonyms

Administration
Mail log file analysis
Reboot or shutdown

Miscellaneous
Support and licensing
Create starter web site

Configuration
Directory
Hostnames and addresses
E-mail
Review configuration

Unknown
remoteaccess
ibays
clamav
datetime
backup
mxbackup
localnetworks
portforwarding
viewlogfiles
dar2
workgroup
domains
yum
printers
proxy

Any pointers on what to do next?

Thanks,
E

I use DAR2 and the following got the update for it.

Code: [Select]
yum --enablerepo=smecontribs update
I do not recognize the following one:

mxbackup

http://www.schirrms.net/files/ holds a UTF8 version as well, although I am not sure if you should install a package like that, there was a thread on the drawbacks and disadvantages of backup mx servers in the forums recently but I have troubles finding it again :-(

Thanks! That was the one. I just removed it and everything is back to normal.
