I have 9 remote and 3 local SMEServers (all V7.3) backing up to a NAS using the Backup with Dar contrib. Everything is running wonderfully, but the full backup is running on various days. 2 run on Sunday, 2 on Monday, 1 on Wednesday, etc. What i want to do is reschedule the full backup to run on saturday and the incrementals on the following six days. I have gone into the program and changed the settings to the following:
Number of rotating backup sets - 12
Daily backups in each set - 7
Workstation backup time of day (hour/min) 5:00 pm
Optional backup session timeout (hours) 8
Don't timeout full backup sessions - checked
Backup compression level [0-9] - 7
Full backup is allowed on - Saturday
It has been four weeks since I made these changes and there has been no change to the days that the full backup is being done. What is the best way to modify this schedule? This is NOT a crisis, but I am wanting to use the bandwidth that is available on weekends when there are fewer employees using the internet. I have not been able to find anything on this subject in the forums.
