cable heartbeat need to open port 5050

cable heartbeat need to open port 5050

My cable provider uses a "heartbeat" to keep the connection alive it hits port 5050 every 6 minutes and gets blocked so disconnects can anyone tell me how I can open up port 5050 without upsetting the system as everything appears preconfigured.

Hi Craig,

There is a how-to with a contrib module (check out the contributed how-to section on this web site) that you can install so that the SME server keeps your hearbeat going. Works well.
