IPKall and Sail?
« on: June 25, 2008, 11:50:44 AM »
Hi all,

Anyone here who might know how to setup IPKall and Sail?
I've tried following this (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-IPKall) setup, but as it's not for Sail, I'm lost.

When a person calls the US nr, the phone rings, and when I answer it, I can hear the person.
Problem is that they can not hear me :/

I'm sure it's something small that I need to change, but what?

OK...

There isn't really much to do for SARK with this.  Ignore all of their crap about contexts, extensions and SIP.conf.  Just create a PTT-DiD entry for the SIP number you gave them.  Just route it like any normal inbound call i.e. to an extension or an alias or IVR, whatever.

Then...

Just dial the US number they gave you.

If you are only getting one way sound then there is something blocking in your firewall.  You'll need to check what.

We've just tested it here and it works fine

Kind Regards

Hi again selintra,

Looks like your way of doing it is the way to go.
I've just done the change, and will give it a test run in 1/2 hr.

I will report back on this again.

re: If you are only getting one way sound then there is something blocking in your firewall.  You'll need to check what.
The server is in the DMZ mode of the firewall, so all ports should be open.
I will do some more testing on this problem, and see if I can find a fix for this

Thank you.
