We have an older SME server, running 7.1.3. It had been all but decommissioned until our main server had both drives fry, simultaneously.
Anyways, I've been trying to run the updates on this thing, and it keeps bombing out. I've tried the following console commands:
yum clean metadata
yum clean all
yum update
When I do that last one, it finds a bunch of updates (~350), goes through what appears to be a download cycle... and then reports "no new rpms installed. no further commands required." or something to that extent.
When I try to run the updates from system-manager, it acts like it's actually installed them. But after a reboot, the same updates are listed as needing to be installed. I checked today's yum log, and find the following:
