when i put http://www.mydomain.xxx/server-manager into the browser it says:

the path URL/server-manager does not exist

please help because i am unable to get to the interface to set up the sme server - e.g. new users and ibays.

By default you can only access server-manager from the local network.

Try (from the local network) http://192.168.x.y/server-manager (but replace 192.168.x.y with the LAN IP of your SME server).

had attempted using several addresses:

www.myhostname.xxx/server-manager - no good

www.192.168.xx.xx/server-manager - no good

tried adding s to http (https) with all variants - no good.

The only thing to work is leaving out the www and adding teh s to http e.g

https://myhostname.xxx/server-manager

yes that is the normal way https://192.168.x.x/server-manager the other ways will not work
