Topic: Webmail, can't delete messages

Hi All,

Unable to find a similar problem on a search of the baords, so hopefully someone can offer a pointer or two;

in webmail, if I try to delete or move an email, I get a message across the menu bar that says

Code: [Select]

ErrorThis request cannot be completed because the link you followed or the form you submitted was only valid for 0 seconds
It's becoming seriously problematic as my inbox bulges with stuff I want to file away, and rubbish I want to delete!

If the size of your IMAP inbox is massive, webmail may encounter time out issues. Try using a client like Thunderbird to achieve your goals.

Hi Darrel,

Did that although the inbox wasn't huge (my entire maildir is only about 100meg). Now emptied inbox etc, but the webmail problem persists. It was ok with egroupware mail client too before I uninstalled it. I suspect I've got an issue with Horde but am at a bit of a loss what to do. I like the webmail for when I'm travelling.

Charlie, not everything can be a bug!   It has been working fine up until now, so it's plainly something that's been caused to happen in the last few days as I've added contribs and taken them away. I'm happy to add it as a bug, but some poor developer somewhere will probably end up chasing his tail.

I have definitely pinned this down to a Horde issue. No other email client has any problems whatso ever. So... I uninstalled Horde and deleted the mySQL database schema for it, reconfigured then rebooted. Reinstalled Horde and the problem remains. Does anyone have a suggestion, as I was planning on settling on Horde with it's webmail and the Kronolith add-on for my basic email and calendar functions. Given I can't delete or move email in it, it's a real problem.

TIA for any suggestions.

When Charlie suggests you report a bug, you should seriously follow his advice.
He is the world's leading expert on sme server, perhaps on a equal footing with Gordon though !

Keep in mind that something that used to work OK, can stop working due to "new" bugs, eg something introduced by upgrades and so on.

If your problem is not a bug, then you will be told that in bugzilla, and then you can pursue other fault finding approaches.

I'm finding it hard to be a consumer of open source software. You get shouted at if you report non-bugs as bugs, and shouted at again if you report bugs as non-bugs. As yet I don't know who's who here, and the experts from the non-experts. It's all very different from commercial software

That's a relief

If our 'trial month' goes well, the support option will certainly be taken up. It's actually ncie to have budget spare from not having to purchase server anti-virus software, fists full of over-priced licenses, etc. This open source thing might catch on
