Hi,

Included is a post from my ISp's support;

You need to configure you system to deliver mail based on X-Envelope-To:
and not the To: field.

The reason for this is that in Multidrop mode E-Smith assumes all
addresses in the To: field are local and re-writes the domain name.

This in reply to a query why a message I sent to a mailing list to which I am subscribed got the address changed to an address from my system.

"userxyz@kentz.co.za" was changed to "userxyz@rusty.org.za" which does not exist on my domain.

What is the best way for me to implement the advice above, on e-smith 3.1.

Many thanks,

Russell

Go to the General Email settings panel of the E-smith manager, and
change the Select sort method value, and if necessary the select sort header. Then hit the "Save" button!

ok , but on 5.5 the sort choices are
default and specify-below:
so choosing the later do i enter (below)

X-Envelope-To:

and will the X-Envelope-To: not mess up 'standard' emails?

(until now all works well except forwarded-from-other-servers, that
have the X-Envelope set).

if the answer to above it 'Yes' , then why would one not set X-Envelope-To: all of the time?

TIA Rob
