Hi S and Lloyd

I need your Help Please.

I have done a clean install gone through the steps and got the same error.

When I run this, I get:
No Match for argument: zaptel-kmdl-2.6.9-67.0.7.ELsmp
Nothing to do

What i did next was copy the  2 files to me root.

comnetel.com/zaptel-kmdl-2.6.9-67.0.7.ELsmp-1.4.11-51.el4.i686.rpm
comnetel.com/zaptel-1.4.11-51.el4.i386.rpm

now when i run :
yum install zaptel-kmdl-'2.6.9-67.0.7.ELsmp-1.4.11-51.el4.i686.rpm --enablerepo=atrms

then it runs fine till it  tells me:warning : only V3 signatures can be verified , skipping V4 signature.

---> Processing Dependency: zaptel = 1:1.4.11-51.el4 for package: zaptel-kmdl-2.6.9-67.0.7.ELsmp

Error: Missing Dependency: zaptel = 1:1.4.11-51.el4 is needed by package zaptel-kmdl-2.6.9-67.0.7.ELsmp

yet its there i can see it in the dir.

where did you think i came up with the above post? -- it was the only relevant thing i found
such are the joys of forum search engines
So thanks the link is way more current

I did trackdown a sark iso  and installed only to verify the spinlock problem with zaptel on centos 4 with a smp
kernel is alive and screwing with ztdummy  -- i will try a clean sme7 and use the rpms mentioned the non smp
kernel does work fine

yum won't/can't look in a local directory for dependencies.

do

yum localinstall zaptel-1.4.11-51.el4.i386.rpm
yum localinstall zaptel-kmdl-'2.6.9-67.0.7.ELsmp-1.4.11-51.el4.i686.rpm

PS.
Try yum local update
i have read on atrpms and other places that it would be better to update kernel to 2.6.9-67.0.22
from smetesting
on atrpms you have all zaptels and kmdls for this kernel
i've tested on few production servers it it working good

ok Thanks -- the problem is now solved -- conference extensions and over head paging now work with a stock sme 7 and smp kernel  -- used zaptel and zaptel-kdml from  http://sarkpbx.com/sail/kmdls/
thanks bbialy

Selintra there used to be a zaptel bug that prevented ztdummy from working do to a timimg issue with the  setting of a spin lock only for smp kernels it was patched a while ago.  The iso i used came from a email link a friend had
i'm thinking the build was 659  if it is important i could check

http://sarkpbx.com/sail/kmdls/zaptel/zaptel-kmdl-2.6.9-67.0.7.ELsmp-1.4.11-53.RHL4.i386.rpm
works

thanks

Thankyou,

The Spinlock issue was to do with an old kernel bug if I remember rightly.  We've tested our .iso on both SMP and UP without seeing this, which is why I'm concerned if you've seen a problem.

Kind Regards
