Echo cancelling again
« on: September 30, 2008, 04:33:54 PM »
I am using an X100P clone.

I have adjusted the gains etc. I have echotraining=yes

It works OK and I can hear the echo cancler working BUT

It always starts a new call WITHOUT canceling, and then slowly improves over the first 20 seconds.

Is there any way to remeber the PREVIOUS echo values and use them at the start of the next call?

This would make the start of calls much better.

Thanks for your help.

Chris.

NOt really, you can play around with echotraining but really, to eliminate echo on an X100P you need to run OSLEC.

Remove asterisk from your system...

rpm -e {each of the asterisk rpms}

Now download and install bristuff from http://sailpbx.com/bristuff

OSLEC will be installed as part of the rpms.  MAKE SURE you set echotraining=no or you won't get any sound.
