Case insensitive folders
« on: October 12, 2008, 08:50:06 PM »
Hi All

I have a sme server and the developers have now used upper and lower case folders names and have hard coded these into the html and other web files. Is there a way I can make it so that no matter what case the visitor put in that it will ignore case on the website.

Thanks

Instruct your developers not to do sou in the future, ask them to correct it as you can or try and create a rewrite rule. There are some severe drawbacks like no way to judge if the proper directory is opened since you might have one called dIFFERENT or Different (in all it's varieties).

I seem to remember someone asked something like this a few months in the forums as well, here is the url to the discussion: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=41071.0
