Mini ITX (again...)
« on: October 27, 2008, 03:07:39 PM »
Hi all,

I'd like to replace my mid-tower SME server with a smaller, more energy-efficient and quieter server. Mini-ITX seems the way to go, so I've been following a lot of the discussions about mini-ITX boards for SME. Everyone seems to be having problems with drivers for the onboard LAN of these boards, whether the boards are from Intel, Jetway or VIA. Does anybody have experience with a modern ITX board that works with SME 7.4 without these problems, or have the problems been solved by kernel updates? I'm looking for a board with at least one Gigabit LAN adapter, and at least two SATA connectors.

Thanks,

Marcel

Not itx but allmost http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=42311.0

http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=24&l2=165&l3=0&l4=0&model=2289&modelmenu=1

.. vell I think that all specs might not be met, in this case, but still an interesting alternative.
