Topic: New Message composition window

I am having an interesting problem in the new message compossition screen. After I upgraded to 7.4 yesterday I started getting complaints that some of my users couldn't attach anything to their emails because they could not find the attach button at the bottom of the screen anymore. After some investigation I found that all of the users with the problem were using Internet Explorer (IE5 or IE7) and that the status bar was covering a portion of the screen, including the bottom arrow of the scroll bar, blocking the attachment stuff. The other browsers I tried (Firefox 2, Firefox 3, Google Chrome) don't have this problem.

Any Ideas on how I can go about fixing this?

Are the users "enlarging / expanding" the compose window;I've just tested this
using IE6 and can see the attachment icon below the email / subject boxes.

The attachment icon isn't the problem, its in the actual attacment box at the bottom of the page. I think that the easiest way to demonstrate is a picture:



How much of the box can be seen is dependant on the screen resolution that user has set. That picture was taken on a screen at 1152x864.

It seems like it's just the "Link attachment" option that you're missing.

Is the new message opening in a new window or inside the current window?

Also, have you tried another theme? Maybe this is something particular to that theme?

Mine seems to be working fine in IE7 on Vista.

I have tried another theme, it makes no difference, and the new message is opening in the current window.

Like I said before, how much of the box is missing depends on the resolution of the screen that person is using. For example, someone using 800x600 resolution can't see the attachment box at all.
