Glad to see that most are positive about the forum

Not many reasons not to create one then so I really hope to see the SME8-bete category in the near future.
To CharlieBrady - reasons for forum for SME8
- to get the feeling of not beeing a lone with a beta version.
- validate if a bug is a bug (good rules has been suggested in the thread, e.g. dmay suggesting to add a link to the opened bug)
- ask for support - "how do I"
- Give tips and tricks to others that should not go into the wiki (since they are temporary and relate to a beta version). E.g. I have upgraded to php5.2 and even though not recommended then I can tell how I did it
- discuss what has been tested, how, why, use of this beta version, how it runs on different hardware etc. etc.
- Generally get the "forum" feeling of the product
Most of the above is not bug related.
Here is my only SME8 bug in the bugtracker:
http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4770That could have stayed in the forum and should never have made it to the bugtracker. As a part of the bug (feature request) was a request for help and the answer to that was that the bug tracker not is a support forum... in a way a good answer and therefore I requested the SME8 forum so I had somewhere to go for the support and discussions that should not go into the bugtracker.
So please, create the SME8 category and lets evaluate to see if it is a good or a bad thing
