I have installed snort and guardian on a 5.1.2 server works just fine as far as I can tell. I used the how to from Ari Novikoff. Have some questions regarding performance drop. Have found how to stop snort. But cannot find how to stop just the guardian plugin. I can /etc/rc.d/init.d/guardiand start. It starts just fine. But can you stop just the guardian. /etc/rc.d/init.d/guardiand stop just gives me the command line help. How can I keep the guardian plugin from starting?
