DAR2 Contrib with Tandeberg RDX Quickstor [RESOLVED]
« on: February 13, 2009, 06:48:06 PM »
Hi All, just realised my post should be in this form [contribs] not the one above.

I have just installed one of these devices along with a 40GB and 80GB cartridge. Its seen as /dev/sdc. I have fdisk each cart into one large ext3 partition and both a freely mountable rw under /media/rdx - I edited fstab with /dev/sdc /media/rdx ext3 deafults 0 0

I used /media/rdx as target in the DAR2 manager panel but I cant see any progress or writing to the drive?

If anyone has used DAR2 to write to an internal SATA disc successfully could you clue me in on what I'm missing here?

Thanks a mill!

Lol - make sure you select * or at least the current day and insert a time in the future before testing !!!! Also, make sure that when you quit out of mc you nav back to root as mount will report busy otherwise.

Anyway, the DAR2 contrib works perfectly with these devices. I installed SME 7.4 to a Dell PowerEdge T105 [both CPU cores are recognised] and it went without a hitch.
