I have been using E-Smith 4.0 b3 for some time now. It's a great product. But I would like it to do just a little more.
I would like to use it as a filtering proxy also. I'm using as a gateway to a school and it would be nice to be able to filter some of the requests.
There is a product called SquidGuard (
www.squidguard.org) that will interface with the squid server that is used in your product. That looks as if it would fit the bill. This product requires the Berkeley 2.x DB Library to function. And the Berkeley 2.x DB Library requires an ANSI C complirer (gcc) to operate.
Everytime that try to install gcc rpms and error message comes back that this rpm cannot be installed.
Any help or comment would be appreciated.
